The Big Picture
A couple of weeks ago I was at the Birmingham Flickrmeet when a chap called Stef gave us a preview of a project he’d been working on and asked for our help in supplying some photos so that when they actually launched they had some pictures.
This project was The Big Picture 2008, a Midlands based photography project that is linked to Flickr.
The aim is to get people using their digital cameras and doing something with the photos. This aim being to build a huge photowall of 10,000i 100,000 individual photos.
And it’s really easy to get involved. You can either upload direct at the site or if you Flickr (and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t) your photos get passed through automatically simply by tagging them bigpicture2008
Picture posted direct to Flickr from my Nokia N95 using Shozu.

10,000 – sounds easy
Hi, I’m working as Online Editor for this, we need 100,000 (or more precicely over 94,500) to beat the current World Record.
It’s going well so far (around 7,000), but 100,000 is a long way off, so add add add…
(and thanks for the mention btw)

Oops! I knew that. I meant 100,000.
Now corrected.
