Created In Birmingham Wins Guardian Awards
I’m a big fan of the Created in Birmingham blog run by Pete Ashton. It’s a regularly updated feed on the various artistic endeavours coming out of Birmingham. There’s a lot going on and a lot to link to so it’s well worth checking out. Heck, they’ve even featured a photo or two of mine on occasions.
Anyway the main purpose of this post is to point out that Created in Birmingham has won a MediaGuardian Innovation award and that Pete’s been picking up a fair bit of exposure from it. Having first come across Pete from his photos on Flickr and bumped into him on a couple of occasions such as Birmingham Artsfest and the Moseley Folk festival he’s certainly committed to getting out amongst it and proving that blogging isn’t some sort of reclusive geek activity. Way to go, Pete.
