iGo Stowaway Bluetooth Keyboard
As much as the Nokia N95 is quite a powerful smart phone, its keyboard lets it down. It is just a standard mobile phone keypad so writing longer emails or a blog post such as this becomes quite a chore. It is time consuming and also will lead to sore thumbs.
I’m not too keen on the alternative solutions found on other devices such as the qwerty little keys on MDAs or Blackberry, or the stylus solutions on Windows Mobile or Palm. Either the keys are too small or my handwriting is not up to it.
So I’m very pleased with my latest gizmo, an iGo Stowaway folding bluetooth keyboard. I’m using it right now to write this post (via the WordPress gadget this time).
It was a bargain at £17.99 from www.mymemory.co.uk, compared with around £80 for the official Nokia keyboard.
Very portable, it folds to the same size as a Moleskine notebook. Once you got the right software installed it connects with ease and has a handy stand for the phone. All you need is to find a flat surface to type on.
Some of the shortcuts and key combinations take a bit of getting used to but really that’s about reading the manual.
Recommended.
I found it really great
